Role Description
- The Office of Accounting and Finance is currently hiring a full-time Accountant 1. This individual will perform basic accounting functions such as:
- Ledger/fund analysis and reconciliation
- Cost analysis
- Review/reconcile budget to actuals
- Preparing and/or posting accounting documents
- Invoicing customers
- Performing collection functions
This position is eligible for remote work once training is complete.
- Essential Functions
- Set-up and maintain billing codes
- Invoice customers
- Customer follow-up on outstanding accounts receivables
- Maintain routine account journals and prepare basic financial statements
- Monitor and interpret financial data in the development of cost analysis and reports
- Analyze, establish, and maintain accounting systems
- May process purchase requisitions, invoices, and change orders
- May perform internal auditing of financial records
- Prepare financial/statistical analysis reports
- Recommend accounting and control systems
- Perform related duties based on departmental need

- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree must be in Accounting or related field
- Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement

- Intermediate user of Microsoft products
