Healthcare IT Implementation Project Manager (Feb–July, 40 hrs/week)
Contract: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
Duration: February – Mid‑July
Location: Remote (U.S. hours)
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Healthcare IT Implementation Project Manager to cover a maternity leave. This role focuses on software deployment in ambulatory and enterprise healthcare environments (not development PM). You’ll act as the primary customer‑facing PM, leading projects from kickoff through go‑live and handoff to Customer Success.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Coordination
- Lead transition from Sales → Services → Customer Success
- Define scope, timeline, deliverables; customize project plans
- Align resources and ensure project team understands objectives
Execution & Communication
- Track progress, hours, and risks using our EPM tools
- Run weekly customer status calls and align internal project team to current and upcoming project tasks per the project plan
- Deliver monthly internal/external status updates
- Build strong relationships with healthcare leadership teams
Control & Risk Management
- Manage budget, resource allocation, and change orders
- Maintain issue/risk logs and mitigation plans
- Manage project documentation
- Ensure smooth transition to long-term support
Project Closeout
- Complete closeout documents
- Validate timeline, budget, and quality success criteria
Requirements
- Experience managing Healthcare IT projects (EMR/EHR or similar required)
- 2+ years project management experience
- Strong understanding of PM methodologies, risk management, change control
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills
- Ability to commit to 40 hrs/week Feb–mid‑July
Preferred:
- Experience working with hospital or clinical leadership
- Healthcare SaaS implementation background
