About the position Intermedia Group has an opening for a Senior Business Analyst (Oracle R12) to support the internal Oracle R12 systems for a major media company. This role is remote but requires the candidate to work eastern time zone hours and reside in the US. The position is expected to last for 6 months or more. The successful candidate will be part of a cross-functional team, working closely with business stakeholders and technologists, and will have ownership of project deliverables. A deep understanding of Business Analysis and functional knowledge in Oracle R12 modules is essential. Responsibilities β’ Develop an understanding of customers' needs and apply it in researching potential solutions. β’ Participate in clarification, rationalization, and documentation of project requests. β’ Prepare project initiation documents. β’ Analyze and document relevant business processes. β’ Conduct interviews with customers to define functional requirements. β’ Participate during detailed design and/or configuration. β’ Work closely with the development team to deliver quality solutions. β’ Participate in Integration Testing, including development of test plans, test cases, and scenarios. β’ Conduct User Acceptance Testing on small to medium size projects. β’ Assist in the preparation of end user documentation, training materials, curriculum, and schedule. β’ Conduct training classes, including train-the-trainer, one-on-one, and classroom style training. β’ Provide first line post-implementation support to users regarding functional issues. β’ Participate in change management activities. β’ Take ownership of functional issues by identifying underlying problems and implementing system resolutions. β’ Provide front-line user support for related business applications. β’ Document and track program defects. β’ Communicate plans, status, and issues to management on a regular basis. Requirements β’ 5+ years of experience working with Oracle R12. β’ Deep functional knowledge of Oracle R12 modules: P2P, OTC, Project Accounting, Inventory, WIP, BOM. β’ 5+ years of experience performing business analysis within a large enterprise. β’ Ability to use querying languages to extract and analyze data (e.g., SQL). β’ Experienced in using Microsoft Office applications; Microsoft Automate preferred. β’ Working knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques. β’ Familiarity with standard IT practices related to business application development and implementation. β’ Understanding of distributed and multi-tiered applications, as well as SaaS and PaaS solutions. β’ Strong business process definition capabilities.
