Key Responsibilities
As a member of our silicon validation team, you will define and expand test coverage to evaluate functional blocks and debug silicon problems. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Writing basic embedded software exercises and test scripts
- Collaborating with designers and engineers to understand various functional blocks and their use-cases
- Debugging and combining new tests for incorporated Wi-Fi chipsets, complex digital interfaces, and power management subsystems
- Working with other corporations and businesses to push tests down into pre-silicon environments
- Supporting product development builds locally and remotely
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A robust understanding of SAC/FAGAN architecture and silicon micro-structure
- Experience with hardware/software interaction and virtual common sense basics, including timing evaluation, state-machine debug, and/or VIL/VERILOG test-bench development
- Familiarity with high-speed memory structures and communication interfaces
- A suitable understanding of MAC + protocol specifications for digital interfaces
- Hands-on debug experience with utilization of modern lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers)
- Familiarity with interpreting and navigating schematics and layouts
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable:
- Experience with writing tests to target specific portions of silicon designs and virtual interconnects
- Knowledge of embedded systems and programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Python)
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive issues to closure in a team-based environment
