Our team of approximately 220,000 healthcare service providers and retail experts is committed to building trusted relationships that create healthier futures for our customers, patients, team members, and communities. **Job Objectives** As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate Certification holder, your primary objectives will be to: * Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Register sales on assigned cash registers and provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service * Assist pharmacists, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions **Job Responsibilities/Tasks** Your responsibilities will include: ### Customer Experience * Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience ### Operations * Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service * Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items * Register customer purchases on assigned cash registers, collect cash, and distribute change as requested * Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Take customers to OTC aisles when possible to assist in locating products * Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records * Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store managers or communicated by shift leaders ### Pharmacy Support * Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow * Report prescription errors to pharmacists on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program * Review and comply with the arenaflex Pharmacy Code of Conduct * Strictly adhere to the arenaflex policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities * Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians * Process manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner * Perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager ### Inventory Management and Store Maintenance * Assist and support the Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals * Maintain knowledge of company asset protection techniques and file claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods involving Rx drugs * Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) * Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Complete resets and revisions as directed * Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Assist in stock rotation using the first-in, first-out method and restock outs ### Training and Personal Development * Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration * Attend training and complete PPLs requested by managers or assigned by corporate and acquire continuing education credits * Maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments **Essential and Preferred Qualifications** * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) * Requires willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekend hours * Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment * Prefer prior work experience with arenaflex * Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications * Prefer good computer skills * Prefer knowledge of store inventory control * Prefer PTCB certification **Work Environment and Company Culture** arenaflex is committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
