- *Job Summary**
As a Customer Service/Sales Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Providing fast, friendly service to our customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance
- Learning about our products using our tools and providing information to customers to sell entire projects
- Greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing every customer in your department
- Maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
- Providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
- Working in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
- *Key Responsibilities**
- Provide exceptional customer service by actively seeking out customers and providing assistance
- Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects
- Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department
- Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
- Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
- Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
- Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging shopping experience
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling returns and exchanges
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer service and sales experiences
- *Essential Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a sales or customer service role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
- *Preferred Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a home improvement or retail environment
- Knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role
