Job Description
We are an urgent care business looking for a skilled data visualization specialist to help us analyze and visualize our patient location data.
We have a CSV file containing approximately 10,000–15,000 patient records, including names and addresses. Our goal is to create a clear visual report that maps these patient locations and shows distance-based radii (e.g., 5-mile, 10-mile radius) surrounding our urgent care location.
The purpose of this project is to understand how far most of our customers live from our facility and identify the radius where the majority of patients are concentrated.
Key Responsibilities
Import and clean a large CSV dataset (10k–15k rows)
Geocode addresses into latitude/longitude points
Create a visual map that:
Pins patient locations
Displays radius zones (5-mile, 10-mile, etc.) around our business
Provide a clear, easy-to-understand visual report (map + summary insights)
Optionally include basic insights (e.g., % of patients within each radius)
Deliverables
One or more visual maps (static or interactive)
Radius-based visualization centered on our urgent care location
Exportable format (PDF, image, dashboard, or interactive map link)
Ideal Skills & Experience
Data visualization & geospatial analysis
Experience working with large CSV datasets
Tools such as Google Maps, Tableau, Power BI, Python (GeoPandas/Folium), ArcGIS, or similar
Strong attention to data accuracy and clarity
Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Bonus (Nice to Have)
Healthcare or customer location analysis experience
Ability to recommend optimal service radius based on the data
