Those who see excellence not as a task, but as a standard, will find a lasting place here. ✦ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES β€’ Enter tax data from physical and digital documents into secure systems with precision and speed β€’ Review W-2s, 1099s, bank statements, receipts, and source documents for accuracy and completeness β€’ Identify missing information and collaborate with clients or senior preparers to resolve discrepancies β€’ Maintain detailed client files and strict confidentiality in line with IRS regulations and internal privacy protocols β€’ Label, tag, and sort documentation for fast access and audit readiness β€’ Assist with amended returns, IRS correspondence prep, and error reconciliation β€’ Track workflow progress and meet firm-wide productivity and compliance benchmarks β€’ Monitor for red flags that could signal fraudulent or suspicious submissions β€’ Support the tax preparation team in peak season with filing system management, portal uploads, and digital verifications β€’ Report to the Compliance Officer and Lead Tax Strategist for oversight reviews ✦ REQUIREMENTS ✦ Skills & Qualifications β€’ Minimum 2 years of experience preparing and filing tax returns β€’ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word β€’ Experience navigating tax software systems (Crosslink familiarity preferred) β€’ Ability to read, interpret, and input IRS tax forms accurately β€’ Minimum typing speed of 50+ WPM with 95%+ accuracy (proof required) β€’ Experience with secure document tools (e.g., JotForm) β€’ Knowledge of basic tax concepts such as AGI, credits, deductions, and dependents β€’ Exceptional attention to detail and organizational discipline β€’ Ability to manage deadlines independently and maintain strict confidentiality β€’ Professional phone communication skills β€’ Comfortable learning new CRM or client management systems β€’ Reliable internet connection and distraction-free workspace β€’ Willingness to comply with background checks and data integrity screening ✦ ✦ Additional Preferences ✦ ✦ β€’ Prior experience in accounting or financial services β€’ Administrative or light bookkeeping experience β€’ Bilingual skills (Spanish, Creole, or ASL) considered an asset ✦ COMPENSATION + GROWTH ✦ Details β€’ Seasonal role: January – April (Peak Tax Season) β€’ Remote position with Miami, FL worksite base β€’ Schedule: Jan – Apr: 8AM – 6PM β€’ Starting pay: $16–$20/hour based on accuracy, typing speed, and experience β€’ Biweekly pay with overtime opportunities during peak season β€’ Full-time consideration after successful 90-day evaluation ✦ ✦ HIRING PROTECTION MEASURES ✦✦ β€’ Background and reference checks β€’ WPM and data accuracy testing β€’ Secure workstation verification β€’ Continuous performance tracking β€’ Zero-tolerance policy for data misconduct or falsification Company DescriptionSKYY INC is a family based virtual-based tax and consulting corporation built on precision, discretion, and service excellence.
