Role Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Credit Controller & Bookkeeper to support the clinicโ€™s financial operations. This role is key to maintaining accurate financial records, managing income and collections, and providing clear financial insight to support decision-making. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day bookkeeping and credit control activities, liaise with patients and insurance providers, and play an active role in income forecasting and financial monitoring. Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Financial Administration โ— Processing day-to-day financial transactions, including invoices, expenses and payments โ— Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records โ— Reconciling accounts and financial statements โ— Using Pabau (our clinic system) to ensure accurate financial reporting Credit Control & Billing โ— Raising patient and insurance invoices accurately and promptly โ— Managing and running an efficient credit control and collections process โ— Liaising with patients and insurance companies regarding billing, payments and overdue balances, with empathy and professionalism โ— Setting up and maintaining automated payment systems Forecasting & Financial Monitoring โ— Preparing weekly income forecasts โ— Carrying out daily forecast vs actual variance analysis, identifying and communicating discrepancies โ— Supporting budgeting and cashflow monitoring โ— Assisting with the preparation of financial reports for management Skills & Experience Essential โ— Experience in a bookkeeping, finance assistant or credit control role โ— Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy โ— Confidence working independently and managing workload effectively โ— Good communication skills, particularly when handling sensitive payment conversations Desirable โ— AAT (Level 3+) / ICB qualification or qualified by experience โ— Experience in healthcare finance, including billing and insurance processes (e.g. Healthcodes, CSSD) โ— Experience using Pabau or other clinic systems โ— Strong Excel skills Why Join Us? โ— Competitive hourly rate โ— Flexible, remote working โ— Supportive and collaborative team environment โ— Opportunity to contribute to a clinic that makes a meaningful difference to patientsโ€™ lives Job Type: Part-time, Permanent Hours: 20 hours per week Pay: ยฃ20 per hour (depending on experience If you are a dedicated individual with a passion for finance and possess the required qualifications, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Credit Controller Please submit a CV and covering letter to the email address below.
