The Ideal Candidate will possess:
A high degree of technical competence and a strong sense of confidence in one’s own abilities.
Manage the accounting and bookkeeping preparation of client data including bank reconciliations,
Manage employees in payroll journal entries, work in progress and other month end reconciliations.
Manage and prepare trial balances in preparation of income tax returns.
Manage and prepare payroll taxes, sales tax, 1099’s, and manage property tax returns and client audits.
Manage and prepare depreciation and amortization schedules.
Business consulting including QuickBooks upgrades, data imports into QuickBooks and analyze/design spreadsheets as needed for clients.
Solid attention to detail with excellent communication & organizational skills.
Able to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities while resolving problems quickly.
A proven track record of hard work and success – whether in work or other activities
Position Responsibilities:
Ownership of our clients accounting needs
Review preparation of monthly journal entries and supporting schedules/reconciliations including areas such as accruals and A/P, payroll, bank, pre-paid, fixed assets, income tax and credit cards.
Perform general ledger reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments.
Oversee the firm clients’ A/R and A/P process
Perform/review fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
Mentoring & and training client accounting employees in their roles.
Experience and Education
Eight plus years client accounting experience with a CPA firm or accounting firm.
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field.
CPA License or EA preferred but not required.
Strong ability to meet and exceed deadlines.
Manage multiple items at once and meet and exceed expectations.
Experience with multiple accounting systems
Part-time or Full-time
Benefits:
Competitive Bay Area salary, Salary range: $130,000 to $170,000. The pay range reflects the San Francisco Bay Area. Compensation will be adjusted for each candidate based on their geographic location
