Job Description
- Leads in the coordination and management of the material cost activity for built to print parts (BTP) for new and existing business in the A&D market segment. Prepares material pricing independently for new business opportunities (bids) including generation of Bill of Material, cost analysis, negotiation with suppliers, collaboration with Commodity Management and presentation to team leaders and managers.Requirements
- Broad knowledge of the marketplace conditions for the area of specialization including industry pricing, technology and supply/demand trends.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes including sheet metal fabrication, machining, casting and injection molding
- Ability to analyze mechanical drawings and estimate part costs
- Ability to answer technical vendor questions during RFQ process
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to consolidate, manipulate and analyze large quantities of data Benefits
