About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Office Manager to oversee our office operations and ensure efficient administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with proficiency in various financial software. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
- Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and effective communication among team members. ,
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices. ,
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity. ,
- Maintain the general ledger accounting system, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date. ,
- Process payroll accurately and on time, adhering to all applicable regulations. ,
- Utilize Sage, Quicken, or other accounting software for financial reporting and analysis. ,
- Assist in corporate accounting tasks as needed, providing support during audits or financial reviews. ,
- Provide customer service (phone orders) as needed.
- Requirements
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role with a focus on accounting functions. ,
- Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles and practices. ,
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Quicken; familiarity with other financial tools is a plus. ,
- Experience with payroll processing and general ledger accounting is essential. ,
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. ,
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work. ,
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. ,
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
