    Bilingual Front Desk Medical ReceptionistHouston Metro Urology, Houston's largest and most comprehensive urology group is seeking an experienced Bilingual Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team.
  • Consistently demonstrate exceptional patient care which is the heart of HMU.
  • Coordinating patient care throughout the clinic: schedule and confirm appointments and check-in/out patients.
  • Answer incoming calls, check messages, and return calls in a timely manner and answer inquiries on the phone, in person, or by email in a helpful, respectful, and efficient manner.
  • Maintain the front desk and reception areas.
  • Managing and updating patient records in Athena.
  • Make sure all information has been received from new patients before their arrival and that all information is entered into the system accurately.
  • Verify patient information on returning patients: demographics, referring doctor; pharmacy information, email address, and current insurance information.
  • Take pictures of patients for patients' files.
  • Print daily appointment schedules, check fee slips and patient accounts for next day’s schedule including checking for referrals, overdue balances, labs, etc.
  • Fill in for other positions in the front office when required.
    Education:
  • High school or equivalent (Required)
    Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with insurance verification processes.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Athena software experience
  • Phlebotomy experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
