RemoteAndroid Mobile Developer
The National Strategic Planning & Analysis Research Center (NSPARC) at Mississippi State University
- NSPARC is seeking an Android Mobile Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of modern, data-driven mobile applications. This role works closely with analytic staff to build, test, and improve production-grade mobile apps.Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications
- Write clean, efficient code following programming standards
- Modify and improve existing applications
- Create and maintain technical and user documentation
- Prepare test data and validate software accuracy
- Troubleshoot issues and fix bugs
- Support and maintain legacy code
- Perform other assigned duties
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field
- At least 1 year of experience developing and deploying production-grade applications
- Experience with Android frameworks
- Required Technical Skills
- Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOP)
- Java and Kotlin for Android development
- Android SDK
- REST APIs, GraphQL, JSON
- Android Studio
- Unit testing and bug fixing
- Architecture patterns (MVC, MVP, etc.)
- Linux (Intermediate)
- Android (Intermediate)
- Kotlin (Intermediate)
- Android Studio (Intermediate)
- Preferred Skills
- iOS development (Beginner to Intermediate)
- Familiarity with package managers (CocoaPods, Carthage, Swift Package Manager)
- XML Views (UI Framework)

- Willingness to learn new technologies
