Job Details Job Location Remote, FL Remote Type Fully Remote Description Position Title: Admissions Coordinator/Call Center Supervisor: Director of Admissions FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: The admissions Coordinator is responsible for assessing clients for potential admissions and facilitates discussions regarding financial obligations and criteria for admission with appropriate parties. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 1 experience in coordinating patient admissions in a substance abuse or mental health treatment setting preferred. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: CPR certification required KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING REQUIRED AT TIME OF HIRE: β’ Demonstrates proficiency and understanding of level of care, in a treatment setting. β’ Demonstrates understanding of criteria for admissions based on level of care. β’ Demonstrates knowledge of insurance criteria for admission into all levels of care. β’ Demonstrates proficiency in communication & written skills. β’ Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality and Patient Brokering laws. β’ Knowledge of networking skills within the community. Reports to clinical team in order to initiate treatment planning. β’ Alerts clinical and other staff to any special problems or issues that may affect treatment. β’ Takes phone calls of inquiry and effectively answers questions about the treatment program. β’ Upon initial contact, provides information to patients and families in order to help them decide about treatment, prepare for admission, and know what they can expect to encounter. β’ Completes admission process efficiently and accurately. β’ Corresponds with marketers and referring organizations in regards to potential admissions. β’ Works collaboratively with management team. β’ Represents the program to referral sources, potential patients, and other outside individuals and agencies in a courteous, professional manner that reflects positively on the program and its staff. β’ Answers telephones courteously and directs calls as requested. β’ Arranges patient transportation, as needed, in a timely manner. β’ Uses computer to type correspondence, reports and other items as requested, ensuring that typing is accurate. β’ Accepts and utilizes supervision. β’ Addresses problems noted by supervisor. β’ Arranges tours for potential patients and their families. β’ Alerts staff of impending admissions. β’ Demonstrates good strategic and problem-solving skills. β’ Ensures that documentation is timely, consistent, clear and accurate. β’ Keeps records secure at all times. β’ Communicates with supervisor and keeps supervisor informed of significant developments. β’ Demonstrates willingness to accept responsibility. β’ Participates in quality improvement activities and contribute to the welfare of the organization. β’ Functions well as a team member and contributes positively to the morale of the department. β’ Other duties as assigned Qualifications Position Title: Admissions Coordinator/Call Center Supervisor: Director of Admissions FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: The admissions Coordinator is responsible for assessing clients for potential admissions and facilitates discussions regarding financial obligations and criteria for admission with appropriate parties.
