About the position
- Responsibilities
- Provide clerical support for the Health Services Division operations.
- Fill out and submit adult-in-custody (AIC) Medicaid applications to Oregon Health Authority (OHA).
- Communicate with Central Administration, OHA, and Third-Party Administrator (TPA) regarding application submissions.
- Meet with AICs to gather necessary information for Medicaid applications.
- Track and monitor Medicaid application submissions, eligibility, enrollment, and suspension status.
- Review medical invoices for prospective employee pre-employment exams.
- Assist with maintenance and updates to division's policies, procedures, protocols, forms, and administrative rules.
- Provide general administrative support to division's Contract Administrators.
- Purchase supplies and equipment through AFAMIS and Office Max.
- Support the division's training team by coordinating new training module approvals.
- Requirements
- Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience including records processing and document generation.
- An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and manage confidential information.
- Nice-to-haves
- Medical coding experience.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Experience in a medical office setting.
- Experience working in a law enforcement or correctional environment.
