About the Role
The Accounting Manager, Complex Transactions & Special Projects will play a critical role in strengthening the company’s financial foundation as it scales and report directly to the SVP Controller. This individual will focus on researching and documenting accounting treatments for non-standard transactions, leading technical accounting projects, and supporting audit and compliance initiatives. The role offers significant visibility across Finance, Legal, Operations, and Executive leadership.
- Key Responsibilities
- Research and document U.S. GAAP accounting for complex and non-routine transactions
- Draft technical memos and internal policies on revenue recognition, share-based comp, leases, impairments, and acquisitions
- Serve as a key liaison during audits, preparing supporting documentation and guiding responses
- Contribute to month-end and quarter-end close, particularly in technical areas
- Evaluate and enhance internal controls and audit readiness processes
- Lead or assist with high-impact special projects across Finance and Operations
- What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting or blend of public/industry (ideally with experience on SaaS/Tech clients)
- Expertise in U.S. GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Strong research, technical writing, and communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite preferred
