YOU MUST BE BASED IN THE US TO BE CONSIDERED!! This is a part-time remote position. If you are looking for a full-time position, supplemental income along with your current full-time position, or if you do not want a 1099 position, this is not the role for you. The pay rate starts at $20/hour with 10+ years of experience. We consider our team members for regular pay rate increases, every 6 months, between the range of $20–25/hour. Responsibilities may include: β€’ Drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and reports. β€’ Conducting legal research and summarizing findings for attorney review. β€’ Assisting with case preparation, including organizing discovery materials and managing case files. β€’ Supporting litigation processes such as document review, deposition preparation, and trial binders. β€’ Filing legal documents in state and federal courts, including e-filing where applicable. β€’ Communicating professionally with clients, courts, and third parties on behalf of attorneys. β€’ Managing attorney calendars, scheduling meetings, and tracking important deadlines. β€’ Maintaining accurate and organized records, both electronic and physical, related to active cases and client matters. β€’ Supporting a variety of practice areas including litigation, contracts, real estate, probate, or general legal matters depending on client need. β€’ Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ethical and professional standards at all times. Qualifications and Skills: β€’ Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department. β€’ Familiarity with a variety of legal areas such as litigation, contracts, real estate, or family law. β€’ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; ability to learn and adapt to new software tools. β€’ Comfortable navigating legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar platforms). β€’ Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a strong attention to detail. β€’ Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment. β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional phone and email etiquette. β€’ High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential legal information. β€’ Tech-savvy and proactive with a willingness to take initiative.
