- Key Responsibilities:
- * Review and process medication prior authorization requests according to established guidelines and policies.
- * Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to obtain necessary information for approvals.
- * Verify patient eligibility and coverage for prescribed medications.
- * Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- * Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service.
- * Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to pharmacy operations.
- * Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in medication guidelines.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- * High school diploma or equivalent.
- * Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential (preferred).
- * Strong understanding of medical terminology.
- * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- * Proficiency in using computer systems and data entry.
- * Ability to work independently and in a remote environment.
- * Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- * Previous experience in pharmacy operations is a plus.
