About the position
- Responsibilities
- Create and update patient profiles for newly admitted patients.
- Process medication orders for newly admitted patients via the pharmacy's operating system.
- Complete all tasks in accordance with department standards for productivity and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines, state and federal laws, and company policies.
- Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Long-term care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare Part D, Medicaid, Medicaid HMO plans, and commercial insurances.
- Knowledge of brand/generic medications and Sig codes required.
- Must be registered and pending with the Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician in New Jersey.
- Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Framework or Docutrack is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
