JOB #: 25-02 DATE: 05/13/2025 TITLE: Director, Electronic Data Standards GRADE: EXEMPT DIVISION/DEPARTMENT: e-Business REPORTS TO: Senior Managing Director, e-Business DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as staff liaison to several ATA e-Business Program working groups including the Configuration Management Working Group, Cybersecurity Working Group, Flight Operations Working Group and Technical Data Working Group. • Facilitate the consensus-based change process for the development and improvement of data exchange standards for commercial aviation. • Manage working group documents, calendars, action items, deliverables, timelines and milestones. • Manage and track change requests to help ensure the relevance of the standards. • Schedule, organize and conduct face-to-face and web-based meetings. • Develop meeting agendas, meeting summaries and detailed project plans. Manage the revision process and serve as editor/author/production manager for several ATA e-Business Program specifications, including the following: • Spec 1000BR: Civil Aviation Business Rules for S1000D • iSpec 2200: Information Standards for Aviation Maintenance • Spec 42: Aviation Industry Standards for Cybersecurity • Spec 2300: Data Exchange Standard for Flight Operations • Spec 2400: Allowable Configuration Data Exchange Standard • CSDD: Common Support Data Dictionary Lead operational activities for Civil Aviation industry representation in the development and management of S1000D, a cross-industry standard for the production of technical publications. • Coordinating the representation of Civil Aviation industry participation in S1000D development and management. • Coordinating the interests of the ATA e-Business Program among the other parent organizations (Aerospace Industries Association-AIA and AeroSpace and Defense Industries Association of Europe-ASD). • Serve on the S1000D Council, Steering Committee and other working groups and task teams as appropriate. Manage the content and ongoing operation of several websites that support the ATA e-Business Program and S1000D. Manage several databases to support A4A e-Business operations. • Common Support Data Dictionary (CSDD) master database in Microsoft Access and VBA • ATA Aviation Marketplace Invoice database in Microsoft Access and VBA • Others as needed Assist in promoting industry standards by helping organize industry forums, speaking at industry conferences, creating pamphlets/flyers, etc. Apply tot his job
