Work Setting: On location at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client
Description: Our Client, a wholesale electricity supplier, is looking for an Energy Storage Engineer (100% onsite) in Juno Beach, FL
- Requirements:
- Availability to work 100% on Client’s site in Juno Beach, FL (required);
- Engineering experience (5+ years);
- Experience working as an SME in substation or utility-scale energy storage design and/or project management, with established expertise in one or more of the following areas (preferred):
o Power electronics;
o Battery storage system design;
o Substation design;
- o Generation tie design;
- Experience in energy storage including varying battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters (preferred);
- Experience in Lithium-ion battery storage safety (preferred);
- Experience with UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections (preferred);
- Valid driver's license;
- Bachelors of Science in Electrical/Mechanical from an ABET-accredited program.
- Responsibilities:
- Work on organizing, designing, and executing various energy storage projects;
- Perform detailed design engineering of major components for large-scale energy storage projects;
- Prepare technical scopes of work for incorporation into contract documents;
- Support projects from conception through execution working closely with preconstruction and construction project managers;
- Influence project teams in the engineering aspects of the technical work;
- Maintain familiarity with the progress and problems in assigned technical areas;
- Collaborate with suppliers to successfully integrate major equipment;
- Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams for problem-solving, improvement opportunities, and system integration and controls;
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
