- Develop accounting systems by establishing a chart of accounts and defining policies and procedures.
- Maintain subsidiary accounts through verification, allocation, and posting of transactions.
- Reconcile entries to balance subsidiary accounts.
- Transfer summaries to maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare trial balances and reconcile entries to balance the general ledger.
- File documents to maintain historical records.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize account information and trends for financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting
