About the position
- Responsibilities
- Provide group and individual counseling services to clients.
- Conduct intake and assessment for program eligibility.
- Monitor all aspects of care and client services.
- Ensure that the needs of clients are met.
- Requirements
- Licensed NJ Professional Counselor (LPC) or NJ Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAC) or Licensed NJ Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Knowledge of modern principles of criminal justice, community corrections, and therapeutic communities.
- Understanding of counseling and casework methods appropriate for offender populations.
- Ability to understand and comply with contract rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to work with offenders to gain their confidence and cooperation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and agency representatives.

- Experience in assessing mental health disorders.
- Experience in helping people improve their lives, careers, and family situations.
