Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Family Consumer Science to high school students, following the curricular requirements of the State and the Board of Education
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials to promote student learning and achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Evaluate student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and research in education
Requirements:
- Illinois State certificate in the teaching field qualifying the teacher to teach at the secondary level
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Ability to function effectively as a member of the school staff and communicate with parents, students, and colleagues
- Strong organizational, planning, and classroom management skills
