We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Upper Level Math Tutor to join our team in Rockford, MI. As an Upper Level Math Tutor at Sylvan, you will be responsible for providing expert instruction in math and SAT/ACT prep to students of all levels, from Algebra to Calculus. You will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a focus on small group instruction and personalized attention. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach upper level math concepts, including calculus, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, using Sylvan-based programs
- Provide personalized instruction and support to students in a small group setting
- Evaluate and document student progress, communicating needs and achievements to the center director
- Develop a fun and engaging learning environment, inspiring students to reach their full potential
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and the Sylvan method
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Advanced knowledge and experience in teaching or tutoring upper level math concepts
- 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience preferred
- Strong communication and multi-tasking skills
