As a key member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional groups to design, develop, and execute comprehensive testing strategies, ultimately contributing to an outstanding streaming experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Strategy: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand product requirements and design effective testing techniques, including functional, performance, and scalability testing.
- Test Planning: Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements and technical specifications, defining testing scope, objectives, and timelines.
- Test Execution: Conduct various types of testing, including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and API testing, and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Test Automation: Drive the development and maintenance of automated test suites to improve testing efficiency and coverage, using test automation frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process.
- Defect Management: Document and track defects using appropriate bug tracking systems, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, methodologies, and tools, recommending and implementing improvements to increase testing effectiveness and efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with software engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to provide valuable feedback and contribute to the development process.
- Quality Advocacy: Champion the importance of quality across the organization, sharing best practices and promoting a culture of quality assurance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical fields, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance, ideally with experience in testing web applications, streaming services, or similar technologies.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, testing types, and test automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for test automation, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, JIRA).
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
