Olympic College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Instructional Tutor to provide academic support to students in various non-STEM related subject areas. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic goals and succeed in their chosen disciplines.

Responsibilities:
As an Instructional Tutor, you will:
- Provide individualized and group tutoring to students in non-STEM related subjects, including Biology, Composition, Engineering, English, Languages, and Writing
- Assist students in analyzing assignments, interpreting discipline-specific problems, and clarifying critical thinking and communication skills
- Support students working in online formats and provide guidance on effective learning strategies
- Collaborate with instructors and other tutors to develop and implement tutoring strategies and materials
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance tutoring skills and knowledge
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent, with completion of courses in the subject area(s) to be tutored
- Have a strong academic record, with a minimum average decimal grade of 3.5 or higher in the subject area(s) to be tutored
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing situations and priorities
- Be committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the higher education environment
