Request: Computing Architect 4
Duration: 5 months, possible FTE opportunity
Work Location: Tukwila, WA (hybrid – 1 day a week onsite)
Job Duties
- Build development environments on new hardware and provide support during application development
- Provide direction to development teams on design principles to support high availability, performance, and application resiliency
- Build production systems and provide support through to go live
- Participate in ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting and delivering continuous improvement
- Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures for ensuring security and integrity of WAS systems
- Experience with database systems, particularly Oracle, for backend application support.
Required Skills:
- Certified IBM Deployment/Administration professional in Websphere
- 4+ years of experience with the development, Configuration, planning, deployment, administration, and support of WAS Applications
- Strong communication skills, technical discipline, initiative, and teaming attitude
Education
Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
