REMOTE - Director of Engineering

Position Overview
The Director of Engineering will lead and manage our engineering team in developing innovative solutions for our direct-to-consumer eCommerce platform. This role is essential for driving our technical vision and ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects that enhance our consumer-facing applications.

Lead and mentor the engineering team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Develop and execute the technical strategy for our eCommerce platform.
Collaborate with product management to define and prioritize engineering initiatives.
Oversee the architecture and design of scalable applications using LAMP, Node, and Vue technologies.
Implement DevOps practices to ensure continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) of our applications.
Manage and monitor the performance of the engineering team, providing regular feedback and support.
Ensure the use of best practices in software development and deployment, including the use of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies relevant to eCommerce and cloud computing.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering department.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong proficiency in LAMP, Node, and Vue frameworks.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-based architectures.
Proven track record in managing eCommerce platforms, preferably in a B2C/D2C environment.
Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage a distributed team.
Must be able to travel to Dallas, TX 3-4 times per year
