About the Role:
We’re seeking an advanced Excel expert to support our team on a project-by-project basis. This fully remote, 1099 contract role is perfect for someone who thrives in building powerful, intuitive, and visually compelling financial reporting tools and dashboards. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to create templates and models we can reuse across our client portfolio, helping turn data into actionable insight.
This is not a full-time or guaranteed-hours position — work will be assigned per project as needed. Applicants must be eligible to work as an independent contractor in the U.S.

- Responsibilities:
- Build advanced financial reports, dashboards, and models using Microsoft Excel
- Design scenario modeling tools and dynamic templates tailored to client needs
- Incorporate charts, visuals, and graphics that improve data presentation and usability
- Use Excel to design templates that can be replicated or customized across clients
- Convert Excel-based tools into web-friendly formats (a plus, not required)
- Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and iterate on deliverables
- Deliver clean, documented files that others can maintain and use independently
- Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in advanced Microsoft Excel (e.g., Power Query, PivotTables, dynamic charts, macros/VBA, data modeling)
- Portfolio or examples of previous Excel work in a professional/financial setting
- Strong visual and design sense for presenting complex data simply
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning
- Ability to communicate clearly and deliver client-ready work with minimal oversight
- Bonus: Familiarity with converting Excel tools into usable web interfaces
- Must be based in the U.S. and eligible to work as a 1099 independent contractor
