About the position

The Senior UX Researcher at PayPal will play a crucial role in driving customer-centric decisions throughout the product development lifecycle. This position involves conducting early research to understand customer needs, guiding design definitions and prototyping, and performing post-launch research to inform future iterations. The researcher will utilize various qualitative and mixed methods research approaches to shape product strategy and enhance user experiences.

Identify research opportunities that drive product and design strategy.
Scope project requirements and communicate the value of UX research to stakeholders.
Execute research studies from beginning to end, including defining participant samples and choosing methodologies.
Present insights and recommendations to teams and leaders, advocating for user needs.
Integrate various research functions and data sources into the product development lifecycle.
Act as a liaison between design, product management, and marketing teams.
Contribute to workshop and design sprint activities, influencing product and design strategy.
Support strategic change initiatives and advocate for user-centric approaches within the Experience Design community.
Seek and provide feedback, experiment with new approaches, and help others grow.

Masters, Bachelors, or Professional degree with 5+ years of experience in design, research, or related fields.
Experience in financial services, ecommerce, or related industries preferred.
Proficient in qualitative research methods such as in-depth interviews, diary studies, and contextual inquiry.
Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with product management, design, and marketing.
