About the position
- Responsibilities
- Curate DEI's Condition Reporting and Corrective Action Report (CAR) system, working with engineers to track and resolve reported conditions.
- Support and eventually lead internal audits of DEI's quality programs and external audits/assessments of select suppliers.
- Develop QMS procedures for key DEI processes or support technical staff in such development.
- Support and help drive internal QMS functions, including Management Review Meetings and tracking of quality metrics.
- Provide project-specific support on projects requiring special augmented quality controls.
- Requirements
- Associate's Degree or greater, preferably in a technical/science field.
- Up to 5 years of industry experience in quality assurance or related fields.
- In-depth familiarity with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard or similar quality management system.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Competence using standard MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for customer/supplier visits.
- Ability to pass a drug screening test and background security investigation.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Nice-to-haves
- Prior work experience in the US commercial nuclear power industry or DOE facilities.
- Familiarity with procurement basics in the nuclear industry.
- Experience performing quality assurance audits or supplier assessments.
