Role Responsibilities
As a school-based SLP, you’ll assess students with communication delays, implement treatment plans that support IEP goals, and collaborate with other specialists and educators to ensure student growth. You’ll play a key role in helping students express themselves and engage confidently in their learning.
Louisiana Requirements
- You must:
- Hold a current Louisiana SLP license through the Louisiana Board of Examiners
- Have a master’s in Speech-Language Pathology
- Complete a clinical fellowship (if not already ASHA certified)
- Pass required background and district checks
