I’m looking to hire a Squarespace web designer for a quick but impactful website refresh for my education business: Galanto Academy, which specializes in ACT/SAT test prep and tutoring for high school students.
The website currently works and has core functionality in place, but the design feels outdated. I want it to feel more professional, warm, and intuitive for our main audience: parents of high school juniors and seniors looking for trustworthy college test prep services.
This is not a full rebuild—I’m looking for someone who can work within the existing Squarespace platform and give the site a clear visual and functional facelift.
Project Scope:
Review and redesign the visual layout of existing pages
Improve mobile responsiveness and clean up excessive white space
Apply our updated brand kit (provided via Canva) for colors, typography, and logos
Improve user experience with clear pathways for parents (especially the inquiry form)
Add or improve the following page sections:
Test Prep Programs (currently ACT-only; should become general Test Prep)
Meet the Team
Contact Us – ideally a smoother, embedded form experience
Scheduler/Login Page – embed Teachworks scheduler for ease of booking
Testimonials – create stylized testimonial sections for every page (I’ll provide copy)
Light content polish (e.g., bios, CTA language, page headers)
Goals:
Build trust immediately for new visitors (mostly parents)
Highlight our professionalism while still showing personality (academic, warm, trustworthy)
Funnel visitors into filling out our inquiry form or scheduling a call
Make the site more visually engaging and “alive” while retaining clarity
Ensure smooth mobile use for both students and parents
Ideal Candidate:
Expert with Squarespace and mobile optimization
Strong eye for design and layout (especially service-based businesses)
Comfortable working with Canva brand kits or suggesting light visual improvements
Able to embed third-party tools (e.g., Teachworks scheduler)
Fluent in English, with great communication skills
Bonus: experience with education or coaching websites
