- Position Details:
- Title: Middle School Science Teacher
- Location: Zion, IL (20 minute drive from Gurnee, IL)
- Start/End Dates: August 20, 2025 – June 1, 2026
- Schedule: Full-time | 37.5 hours/week | Monday–Friday
- Rate: Hourly rate TBD (based on experience)
- Employment Type: W-2 Contract
- Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging science instruction aligned with Illinois learning standards
- Create hands-on, inquiry-based lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in ongoing professional development
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support
- Maintain open and effective communication with students, families, and staff
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Education) or related field
- Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsement(s) required
- Experience with curriculum design, planning and instruction
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred
