Job Description
The Driver - Cross Dock is a non touch freight position and responsible for driving tractor and trailer to transport and deliver products from the distribution center to the sales center.
What Your Day Will Look Like
รย Completes pre-trip and post trip inspections
รย Drives tractor trailers between sales centers
รย Operate a forklift
รย Assist Warehouse department with loading and unloading of trucks
What You Need To Succeed
รย Minimum age 21 years old
รย Class A Commercial Valid Driverรยs License required, and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
รย Ability to obtain Doubles Endorsement within 30-45 days of hire date, if applicable
รย Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
รย Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
รย Ability to read, write and speak English
รย Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
รย Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
รย Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
รย High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
รย Ability to become forklift certified
รย Frequent exposure to chemicals, noise, and frequent sitting (chemical exposure may change depending on location)
รย Ability to provide quality management
รย Ability to demonstrate teamwork
รย Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
รย Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
