About the Role
At Medical Mutual, we're seeking a talented Attorney to join our team. As an Attorney at Medical Mutual, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing expert legal advice.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and analyze legal issues, assess risk, and provide recommendations and counsel to executive staff and management.
Negotiate on behalf of the corporation in various settings and develop standard documents and procedures to protect the corporation and minimize risks.
Provide legal advice to specific departments or as a subject matter expert.
Research federal and state regulatory issues including health insurance, Medicare, and other types of insurance.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and provider agreements.
Requirements:
A Juris Doctor degree, 8 years of legal experience, and admission to practice law in Ohio.
Experience in healthcare or insurance law, and law firm experience are a plus.
The ability to research and apply legal principles, solve problems, and occasionally travel to offsite locations.
