We’re interviewing for a full-time loan partner (in-house loan officer) to work and generate leads, serve our partners, take applications, match products and package loans for our clients, get them processing-ready, then keep track of processing to make sure all close on time.

You'll not have to worry about being on only commission: We’re offering a salaried position plus 50 bps for self-generated loans (must have a history of closing 1-3 self-gen or a referral fan base who can and will follow you to our company).

Responsibilities:

Respond to all in-house and customer inquiries regarding transactions and provide quotes when needed to offer exceptional customer service

Build and maintain relationships with borrowers and referral partners to keep our current customers and attract new ones

Facilitate the completion of loan applications, coordinate the collection of documentation, including credit reports, run DU/LP/AUS, send a closing cost worksheet to borrow, and prepare the file for processing

Liaise between clients, referral partners, and the loan officer, serving as their primary contact during the “contact to contract” phase of the loan process, and conduct meetings to coordinate any follow-up items

Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation then report any discrepancies to the loan originator
• Build and maintain relationships with borrowers and referral partners to keep our current customers and attract new ones. Expect 2 hours per day of outbound calls on average and a total of 4-5 hours of client interaction and 3-4 hours of daily file work.
• Serve as the primary contact during the “contact to contract” phase of the loan process and liaison between clients, referral partners, and the loan officer and conduct meetings to coordinate any follow-up items
• Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation then report any discrepancies to the loan originator
• Orchestrate the completion of loan applications, coordinate the collection of documentation including credit reports, run DU/LP/AUS, prepare the file for processing, and send a closing cost worksheet to borrowers
• Answer questions from customers or employees regarding transactions and give quotes when required to deliver excellent customer service
• Generate and close at least 1 self-gen mortgage at branch margins and approximately branch average loan size

Qualifications:
• Understands automated underwriting systems such as DU and LP, GUS, etc.
• Must have a MASTERFUL knowledge of mortgage loan products and for what situations they apply (FHA/VA/CONV/USDA) plus a thorough knowledge of mortgage procedures, processes, and documentation. You MUST be a solution-crafter, not an order-taker.
• Minimum 2 years experience (ideal candidate will have 5-30+ years) in an LOA/Loan Partner, Processor, Loan Officer, and/or Underwriter role
• The ability to analyze credit reports, income, and asset documents, as well as understand myriad ways to structure a loan for the best solutions for clients
• Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, and follow-up skills.
• Must LOVE time-blocking, repetitive procedure scaling, and checklists.
• Closing 1-3 transactions from personal database
• BONUS but not required: Spanish-speaking
