About the opportunity: We’re looking for a Sr Data Analyst- Application Systems. This job role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing enterprise reporting and analytics solutions, with a primary focus on Power BI and Data engineering. Responsibilities: Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models to meet evolving business requirements. Design and manage Power BI datasets and data models, applying best practices for performance, scalability, and usability. Create and manage Power BI Apps, including publishing, versioning, and user access management. Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand reporting needs, and translate them into effective analytics solutions. Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business definitions. Develop and support data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and/or Microsoft Fabric to enable reliable data ingestion and transformation. Perform data analysis and transformation using SQL, including complex queries and stored procedures, to support analytics and reporting requirements. Perform data analysis and transformation using PySpark notebooks, supporting scalable analytics and downstream reporting solutions. Monitor and troubleshoot reporting and data refresh issues, resolving errors and performance bottlenecks. Apply and follow data governance, security, and access control standards across reporting solutions. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and platform teams to support modern analytics initiatives, including Microsoft Fabric. Maintain documentation for reports, datasets, and data processes to support knowledge sharing and continuity. The experience and skills we value: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/ Data Engineering 8 – 10 years of related experience Understanding of internal business data, reporting standards, and organizational processes is learned through direct experience BI tools and analytics expertise are required upon entry. What will put you ahead: Requires strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills to deliver business‑focused insights. Power BI expertise, including semantic modeling, DAX, report/dashboard development, and Power BI Apps. Strong data modeling skills, including dimensional modeling (star schema), metric standardization, and semantic layer design. Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, performance tuning, and stored procedures for data analysis and transformation. Experience with Azure analytics platforms, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and/or Microsoft Fabric. Data transformation and analysis skills, using SQL, Power Query, and PySpark notebooks for scalable analytics. BI performance optimization and troubleshooting, including refresh reliability, dataset optimization, and report performance. Data governance and security knowledge, including RLS, access control, and enterprise reporting best practices.
