The Emissions Testing Technician Intermediate plays a crucial role in setting up, configuring, and maintaining laboratory equipment, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and HSE requirements. Responsibilities Participate as a project team member for large complexity field testing projects Assist in project team planning, preparation, site coordination, close-out documentation, and equipment clean-up as part of the regulatory and customer deliverables per the Emissions Testing Group (ETG) checklists and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Perform field tests in accordance with USEPA and other regulatory and laboratory methods and requirements Maintain, repair, and calibrate testing equipment per procedures Ensure field testing projects are performed safely and in accordance with ETG and Bayer policies Consult with outside labs for methods and analysis, assist customers on site sampling set up and preparation for field projects and teams Travel up to 75% is required Skills High School Diploma or GED 1+ years of experience in environmental, emissions, or engineering Valid Driver's License Good analytical and problem-solving skills Collaborative team player capable of working well with people across all hierarchies internally and externally Good organizational and presentation skills Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, listening, verbal, and assertiveness Results-driven with the ability to manage ambiguity Benefits Health care Vision Dental Retirement PTO Sick leave Company Overview Bayer is a life science company that specializes in the areas of health care and agriculture.
