Job Description: Storyboard Illustrator (Freelance) MUST BE ABLE TO SHOW WORK SAMPLES OF FRAME-BY-FRAME STORYBOARD ILLUSTRATIONS FOR COMMERCIALS / VIDEO PRODUCTION We are seeking a skilled Storyboard Illustrator to support a fast-turnaround commercial project for a national brand. This role requires a strong illustrative hand, the ability to translate concepts into clear visual storytelling, and experience building shot-by-shot boards that reflect accurate camera angles, pacing, and tone. This project involves creating a polished storyboard based on an existing concept for a series of ads. The concept is approved, but the team needs a true storyboard to guide production and align creative stakeholders. Hard shoot dates are set for one month from now. Responsibilities: β’ Create a full storyboard based on an existing concept, transforming it into a clear, production-ready visual narrative. β’ Illustrate frames by hand (or hand-drawn style) based on a provided shot list. β’ Establish accurate camera angles, compositions, and transitions to communicate direction to production teams. β’ Collaborate closely with the creative team to ensure the storyboard reflects the intended tone, pacing, and storytelling. β’ Iterate quickly and deliver high-quality boards within a tight timeline. β’ Incorporate client feedback efficiently and professionally. Qualifications: β’ Proven experience as a Storyboard Artist or Storyboard Illustrator for advertising, commercials, or video production. β’ Strong illustrative skills, preferably hand-drawn or hand-rendered style. β’ Ability to visualize camera direction, movement, framing, and key actions. β’ Experience working from shot lists or translating creative concepts into narrative frames. β’ Comfortable working under tight deadlines with quick turnarounds. β’ Strong communication and responsiveness during review cycles.
