Senior Power BI Developer - Remote , X Capital One

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer with strong hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing advanced reports, dashboards, and scorecards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Azure-based data solutions, with a proven ability to implement complex features and resolve challenging technical issues.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and scorecards for business stakeholders.
  • Implement advanced DAX and MDX expressions to support sophisticated business logic and analytical requirements.
  • Create and optimize data models using Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • Administer and manage Power BI Report Server, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective BI solutions.
  • Develop and maintain complex PL/SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Integrate Azure Dataflows into BI solutions for efficient data processing.
  • Implement best practices in data architecture and BI solution design.
  • Utilize source control tools (GitHub, Azure Repos) for code management and collaboration.
  • Track and manage issues using defect tracking tools such as GitHub.
  • Provide expertise and insight into P&C Insurance analytics (preferred).
    Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Azure development tools.
  • 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and data architecture.
  • 2+ years of experience in Power BI Report Server administration.
  • 5+ years of experience with advanced MDX and DAX expressions.
  • 5+ years of data modeling experience with Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • Strong PL/SQL development skills with expertise in writing complex and nested queries.
  • Experience with Azure Dataflows.
  • Proficiency with source control software such as GitHub and Azure Repos.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as GitHub.
  • (Preferred) Knowledge of P&C Insurance analytics, systems, and processes.
