About Trim Landscaping
Trim Landscaping provides professional landscaping services for homeowners, property managers, and HOAs across the Greater Phoenix area. Our services include lawn maintenance, tree trimming, irrigation services, yard cleanups, and seasonal landscaping.
We are expanding into new markets and exploring opportunities to provide landscaping and grounds maintenance services for federal, state, and municipal agencies.
We are seeking a Government Contracting Specialist to help identify, prepare, and submit bids for government contracts through SAM.gov and other procurement platforms.
Role Overview
The Government Contracting Specialist will be responsible for identifying relevant government contract opportunities and managing the proposal process from research to submission.
This role will help Trim Landscaping establish and grow its presence in the government contracting space by securing landscaping and grounds maintenance contracts with federal, state, and local agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Opportunity Identification
Monitor SAM.gov and other procurement platforms for landscaping and grounds maintenance opportunities.
Identify contracts that align with Trim Landscaping’s services and capabilities.
Evaluate contract requirements, timelines, and bid eligibility.
Proposal Development
Prepare and submit compliant proposals for government bids.
Coordinate pricing, scope of work, and documentation required for submissions.
Ensure proposals meet all federal and agency-specific requirements.
SAM.gov & Compliance Management
Maintain and manage the company’s SAM.gov registration and profile.
Ensure compliance with federal contracting requirements.
Manage necessary documentation, certifications, and registrations.
Government Contract Strategy
Identify opportunities to subcontract with larger government contractors.
Help develop capability statements and supporting documentation.
Provide guidance on certifications and contracting strategies.
Reporting & Pipeline Management
Track opportunities, bids, and submissions.
Maintain an organized pipeline of government contract opportunities.
Report regularly on bidding activity and potential revenue opportunities.
Qualifications
3+ years experience in government contracting or proposal management
Experience working with SAM.gov
Strong understanding of federal procurement processes
Experience preparing compliant government proposals
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Familiarity with federal contracting regulations and documentation
Preferred:
Experience in facilities maintenance, landscaping, construction, or service-based industries
Experience working with federal, state, or municipal contracts
