Bookkeeper Needed – Personal, Business & Rental Accounts

Job Description

With the year just getting started, I’m looking for a reliable, detail-oriented bookkeeper to help track and reconcile my personal, business, and rental property accounts on an ongoing basis.

I already have an Excel template for January that you can leverage for February, and I created an instruction sheet to help you understand the accounts and how the money moves around.

Also, I’m not looking for complex or “enterprise-level” accounting software. I’m perfectly fine continuing in Excel, which was used for January. Accuracy and consistency matter more to me than flashy systems.

Scope of Work

  • Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis
  • Track income and expenses across personal, business, and rental property accounts
  • Categorize expenses accurately, including identifying business expenses that appear in personal accounts (I provide notes for business expenses in my personal accts)
  • Maintain clean, organized spreadsheets that clearly reflect current financials
  • Flag discrepancies or unclear transactions and ask questions when needed

What I’m Looking For

  • Strong bookkeeping and bank reconciliation experience
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working in Excel or Google Sheets or others,
  • Experience handling multiple accounts
  • Clear, proactive communication
  • Interested in a long-term working relationship, not just a one-time cleanup

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience with rental property bookkeeping
  • Basic budgeting or cash-flow tracking experience

Availability

  • Ongoing work starting this month
  • Flexible schedule as long as reconciliation is consistent and accurate
