This is mostly a support and enhancement role, limited new development. There may be on call support needed as client operates globally.
Seeking an RPG Developer. This position is a comfortable fit for a person with wide-ranging mainframe experience. The RPG Developer will be required to guide specific tasks, from gathering and understanding business requirements, through creating necessary source system programs, system testing and then implementation.
What You'll Do
Maintain and enhance applications that are already in production
Able to interact with the user community; gather requirements
Programming, troubleshooting, enhancing applications that are already in production
What You'll Need
Required:
5+ years experience with RPG ILE, RPG SQL, and CL programming
Ability to read and program in Free Form RPG IV as well as traditional RPG IV
5+ years experience in RPG SQL programming, and creating SQL tables and queries on IBMi
Knowledge of DDM (Distributed Data Management) programing techniques
Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision
Preferred
Experience using IBMi Navigator for database analysis
Experience with MKS Implementer a plus
