Brooksource is seeking a Research Billing Compliance Specialist to support hospital and professional research billing compliance workflows. The role involves reviewing and validating research-related charges for billing compliance to ensure timely billing and strong revenue cycle performance. Responsibilities β’ Review and validate research-related hospital and professional charges for billing compliance β’ Work daily within Epic charge review queues β’ Ensure charges are reviewed within 30 days of service to meet internal KPIs β’ Accurately distinguish between billable and non-billable research services β’ Identify, investigate, and resolve billing discrepancies and late charge drops β’ Collaborate with research operations and revenue cycle stakeholders β’ Maintain thorough documentation to support audit readiness β’ Provide continuity of operations during staff leave coverage Skills β’ Minimum 2+ years of clinical research experience β’ Demonstrated research billing compliance experience β’ Hands-on experience working in Epic β’ Familiarity with both hospital and professional billing workflows β’ Strong understanding of: Research charge review processes, Research billing regulations, Revenue cycle dependencies β’ High attention to detail with the ability to manage volume independently β’ Prior experience supporting: Academic medical centers, Large health systems, High-volume research billing environments β’ Experience with: Clinical Conductor (CTMS), Florence / eBinder, SharePoint β’ Ability to onboard quickly and operate with minimal ramp time β’ Interest in short-term engagements or flexible schedules Company Overview β’ Brooksource is a single source for project and supplemental support through contract employment, contract-to-hire labor employment.
