Position : Open Policy Agent - Architect Location : Remote role - ideally within driving distance of Cleveland. monthly whiteboard meetings Duration : 6 to 12+ Month Contract Mandatory Skills: 3-5 years of Strong Fine-Grained Authorization implementation experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA) in a large enterprise hybrid environment. Desired Skills: 5+ years of experience in implementing fine-grained authorization using COTS products (such as PlainID, Okta, Sytra etc.) 8+ years of Strong experience with Identity (authN/Z) and Security 8+ years of experience with programming languages (Java, Python, Go, etc) and API design. Detailed Mandatory Skills: ā¢ Rego policy language ā¢ Code organization ā¢ Best practices for integration of external data sources ā¢ Entitlements for FGA ā¢ Policy Management ā¢ Best practices for code reuse, and developing and maintaining a library of policies ā¢ Policy lifecycle - storage, versioning, deployment, deprecation ā¢ Deployment ā¢ Pipeline automation with Github Actions and Terraform ā¢ Running OPA in k8s (AKS preferred) ā¢ Observability via integration with external tools (Dynatrace preferred) ā¢ Bundle management ā¢ OPA management via API ā¢ Web Assembly ā¢ Integration ā¢ k8s Admission Control ā¢ Terraform configuration validation ā¢ APIM/envoy/Kong ingress control ā¢ Security ā¢ Prevent unauthorized access to OPA API ā¢ Store secrets in Hashicorp Vault or Azure Key Vault ā¢ Ensure sensitive information is not leaked in logs or audit trails ā¢ Optimization ā¢ Identify and fix performance issues within OPA ā¢ Using OPA over gRPC ā¢ Implementation experience ā¢ Microservices ā¢ Micro Front End Apps (React) ā¢ Managed web-based applications, e.g. Azure Powerapps ā¢ Middleware Regards, Alex .
