Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. biBerk Business Insurance is a company that provides coverage for commercial insurance buyers from Berkshire Hathaway's insurance group. The Commercial Auto Claims Adjuster will evaluate and resolve first and third-party auto claims, requiring knowledge of auto claims adjusting practices and a focus on customer service. Responsibilities • Investigating losses (BI/UM/UIM primarily) from office, utilizing Independent Adjusters and other internal/external resources • Identifying coverage issues and completing coverage analysis • Evaluation and valuation of injuries/damages • Experience handling moderate to severe injury claims involving allegations of soft-tissue injuries, bone/cartilage fractures, disc herniations, joint dislocation, short-term hospitalizations and out-patient surgeries • Handing attorney represented claimants (litigation claim-handling experience a plus) • Experience analyzing and responding to Time Limited Policy Demands • Experience working with experts in multiple disciplines, including: physicians/therapists, attorneys, accountants, medical billing audit firms, accident reconstructionists, biomechanical engineers, forensic accountants • Maintain claim files per established best claim practice guidelines • Obtain and maintain all required state licenses Skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational and computer skills • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize • Ability to switch focus at a moment's notice • Ability to multi-task when needed • Self-motivator: works independently with minimal to moderate supervision • Past 3+ years of experience handling bodily injury claims • Bachelor's degree required (insurance industry designation a plus) • Possessing strong ability to understand and review policy documentation • Ability to formulate solid action plans to resolve claims • Ability to effectively present files in front of groups • Ability to travel for company / claim related events if needed Benefits • Medical (PPO/HDHP), vision, disability, and life insurance. • Enhanced dental plan with orthodontia coverage in addition to a standard plan. • Generous PTO plan for all benefit-time eligible employees. • Paid company holidays and 4 floating holidays. • Paid parental leave. • Employee Retirement Savings Plan/401(k) with company match and immediate vesting. • Education Assistance Program that offers 100% upfront tuition reimbursement after 6 months of service for approved degree programs. • Service Recognition Program that provides a monetary award to be used toward a vacation every 5 years of employment. • Wellness Initiatives that include Fitness Center and Weight Watchers Reimbursement programs. • Voluntary benefits that include accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity. • Employee discount and rewards program on travel, tickets, electronics, home, and more Company Overview • biBerk helps small-business owners find the right insurance policies for their needs without extra costs and hassles.
