Job Description

As an Executive Underwriter, you will be responsible for driving the financial performance of a $7-10M book of upper-middle market, Property & Casualty business with a new business goal of $1.5M annually. You will identify opportunities for growth, develop and execute strategies to capture new business, and enhance relationships with key producers and customers. Core industries served include Manufacturing, Wholesale / Distribution, Professional Services, Cultural Institutions, Food Processing, and Real Estate. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Drive new business growth, achieving an annual goal of $1.5M. β€’ Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within existing and new production sources. β€’ Develop and implement a comprehensive business growth strategy. Manage market penetration efforts and cultivate strong producer and customer relationships. β€’ Formulate agency strategies and goals, regularly monitoring progress. β€’ Identify cross-sell opportunities among our commercial product offerings. β€’ Evaluate and select risks in alignment with Chubb Commercial Insurance guidelines, ensuring thorough documentation. β€’ Negotiate pricing, coverage, and terms for new business and renewals while identifying account rounding opportunities. β€’ Present sales proposals to producers and clients, including product education and rollout of new offerings. β€’ Maintain consistent service standards while collecting and sharing industry insights. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: β€’ In-depth knowledge of specialty commercial underwriting and insurance practices. β€’ Proven technical expertise in handling commercial insurance lines including Property, General Liability, Umbrella, Workers Compensation, and Commercial Auto. β€’ Strong analytical skills, particularly in financial analysis. β€’ Demonstrated success in sales, marketing, and negotiation. β€’ Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities. β€’ Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. β€’ Experience in developing and executing marketing plans. β€’ Creative and adaptable in a dynamic business environment. β€’ Sound decision-making skills with attention to detail. β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business software. Education and Experience: β€’ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. β€’ 5+ years of Package underwriting experience preferred. Apply tot his job
